These days affirmation is becoming a buzzword of sorts and it’s been said that positive affirmations are a way to help you attract the things you want in your life. This is true, but affirmations require practice. Daily. Done consistently, you will be able to make lasting changes in the way you think and feel.
So What Exactly Are Affirmations?
According to the dictionary, it means the action or process of affirming something or being affirmed or emotional support or encouragement.
My definition: A collective set of positive reminders and reinforcements which I consistently use to encourage and motivate myself and others.
I would be the first one to tell you that before I started saying them, the whole idea of it made me sound self-absorbed but now that it’s almost been a year since I started, they have made so much of a positive impact in my life and in the way I think and feel.
Ways In Which Affirmations Have Helped Me
The use of affirmations has helped me:
- Boost my confidence
- Encourages me to think positively about the things which are important in my life
- Helps me to consistently speak to myself in a positive manner
The 20 Affirmations
I usually say them every morning after I pray and here they are:
1. I have everything I need in order to make today a great day.
2. I am grateful for the gift of life and good health.
3. I give myself permission to exist without needing validation from others.
4. My mind is full of great ideas.
5. I am confident, secure and strong.
6. I am good enough. I am smart enough.
7. My spirit is my guide and I am at peace with who I am.
8. I am grateful for all that I have.
9. I am in complete control of my feelings.
10. I am strong enough.
11. I am the CEO of my life!
12. My thoughts are filled with positivity.
13. I love the person I am becoming!
14. I give myself the care and attention I deserve.
15. I am focused on my goals.
16. I trust the path I am currently on.
17. I am blessed with an incredible family and amazing friends.
18. I allow my emotions to serve their purpose.
19. I am energetic, enthusiastic, confident and happy.
20. I replace self-doubt with hope and optimism.
Choose a few of these that speak to you or you can create or own. Say them aloud. Say them daily and watch the world around you transform.
